TWIST

Sometimes I think there’s something more to life than struggling along a road that you don’t even know where it goes. And at any corner there could be a cliff just waiting to throw you into a dark and endless abyss.

What a twist.
And I don’t need the gravel of my path
Snake’s and serpent’s venom entangled poorly with my past.
To come and bite me
The sting.
Bread crumbs never worked and so I’m just wandering.
Something’s happening
Is there such a thing as not knowing
what to do?
'Cause I don’t have a clue.
Life’s just so cold and here I am
Daunted by winds
Hurling their way through this life.
Tearing up what would have been
Could have been.
And as I ponder and wish
Realizing that I hold me to blame
I curl up
Thinking.
