The Devil Plays
The Devil plays,
With tricks and treats, he deceives.
People sway to the music,
He stays awake in the dark,
Captures the evil in your heart.
He holds on to your thoughts,
Holding you hostage Til’ you can’t stop.
He may never let you go,
In fact, he makes you feel like you’re lost hope.
He gives you things you can’t refuse,
Lets you believe these things are true.
He fills you up with black,
Leaves no room for turning back.
He holds you in his clutches,
Never letting you go from inside his dungeon.
He invites you in, only to never let you leave again.
The goodness leaves your body,
Hopeless, your mind is foggy.
You turn back to look and see,
But the past is gone, its only “you and he”
He robbed you full of nothingness, materialistic things.
He even fulfilled your precious life long dreams.
Surely you never knew God,
You burned that bridge when you entered life, in the wrong.
Always selfish and careless,
You lost your soul to nothingness.
If you would’ve looked away you could have had a chance.
You sold your soul to the devil at your own risk,
Contemplating your wrath and greed,
With no hope of coming back.
So you stay in the dark,
With no blood pumping in your heart.
If only you knew, you won’t get another chance.
you will lose if you are on the side of the devil.
