The Shepard & The Sheep
It’s lonely on the other side.
It’s hard to live in a world of lies.
To differentiate between wrong or right.
To stand up to people, to be willing to fight.
If I am accepted by this world,
Surely I have been decieved.
But I know I don’t belong here,
I’m just waiting to leave.
So many people you look up too;
Oh they are begging “God, Please”.
So tell me, is it worth it?
Your soul burning for all eternity.
“Don’t forget yourselves they made up their minds. When they signed.. 3..4..5.. On the dotted lines".
I lift up my head even though I feel weak,
I mutter some words under my breath.. I’m slow to speak.
I now know what it means to be so completely alone,
I’ve been there a ton of times, I’ve always been cold.
So here’s to my past and the people that are gone..
Wherever you’re going, I can’t go along.
So leave me to be,
Alone with thee.
I am not perfect, but I am perfectly me.
