Broken Butterfly

I look at you and see

A butterfly with damaged wings

Try and try and try to fly

But you can’t; You make me sigh

Butterfly butterfly; Broken wings

Flap and flap but all it brings

Is uncertainty– of the future and the present

Stop worrying; before time is all spent

Let me out of this jar

My dreams are close but o’ so far

Locked away without the key

Please let me out; So I can fly free

I look at you and see

A butterfly with new wings

You have forgotten about all unnatural things

Soaring up up up never to be seen

Until you look close; What a beautiful scene
