Reflections of Life

A Biography II

In the streets cold, where shadows crawl,
Laid a wounded soul, against the wrecked wall.
No mother’s warmth, no milk to draw,
Underneath the moon, a lone paw

Lost and lone, trembling for warmth,
Destiny’s crushed hurricane, a stinging storm.
Paws that struggle, eyes that plead,
The heart hurts a desperate need.

A flash of hope, a gentle touch,
A hand helped, as such; so much,
Arrived warmth and comfort, with food so sweet,
A tiny heart, that is no longer a beat.

A grief-stricken gaze, as footsteps fade,
The warmth departs, as comfort swayed,
Eyes filled with fear, a mournful sound,
Affection’s fragile bond, upon the ground.

Life’s little pup, much like we,
Lost and alone, yearning to be free.
Searching for luxury, love, and light.
In fleeting moments, holding tight.

For, let one be, the gentle hand,
That will mend your broken,
Life like pup will stray,
But love’s embrace will not let it decay.
