Today is the Day I give you my heart.

These times are hard to come by on this special day, but with you in my eyes and my soul, I can forget the times of hardship.

As we paddle away on the open lake, the sun glistens over the water and your hair, we have nothing to despair. The wind picks up, drifting us farther then the mind could imagine. The best part is we are alone and get to share the moment we have.

As I take you home to your warm house, I always wonder what lies behind those eyes. Did you love the bright red roses I picked out for you? Did the lake fit your need for the perfect valentine’s day treat?

All of these questions were answered with a soft kiss, which told me your day was the perfect valentine.

As I settle home to my warm bed, I always will remember what the lake wind said. “The kiss is the answer to my valentine’s wish.”
