Speak to you for a Moment

Speak to you for a moment

May I speak to you for a moment he said
Took me to one side I feared to dread.
Something wrong with your work he said
You can do better, I wont go off my head.
This is what you do he explained,
I listened intently to the the words he exclaimed.
Knowing I could do it, I had really tried,
But everyone said it was Allan’s fault they all cried,
Blamed me for every mistake it was a lie.

So I carried on trying each day at my work we had done,
Had a good work friend beside me we were working as one.
She knew I was right in some things I had done
We worked together it was hard but and had lot of fun.

Can I speak for a moment them words rang out,
A moment is nothing but we can work it out.
So together we looked at that problem we saw,
It wasn’t my fault it was something I could ignore

The days the weeks and the months as they soon went past,
That can I speak for moment went shorter it didn’t last.
New people working in the shop who didn’t have clue.
They need to learn just like I had to do.
But these words ring in my ears every now and again,
Can I have a moment with you my friend.
