The cold bitter winter has begun
The cold bitter winter has begun,
The wind is howling and there’s no sun.
Rain hitting the windows and not missing one,
The bitter cold wet winter has begun.
The bitter wet winter has begun,
Frost arrived to give children fun.
As they slide along the icy paths,
In our houses lots of droughts.
The cold bitter winter has begun,
Snow is falling on everyone.
Children sledging on the snowy hills,
Gas fires burning can we afford the heating bills.
Bitterly cold freezing night is here to stay,
Tucked up in bed warm out of the way.
