Laughter,
A beautiful sound,
Like wind and waves,
Heard all around.
It used to be so easy,
So clean and pure,
I took it for granted,
Now I’ve lost it, I’m sure.
What once came effortlessly,
Now feels so week,
Still sounds the same,
But it’s not what I seek.
Recited like lines,
Replayed like songs,
Sounds real to you,
But to me feels so wrong.
“Laughter is the best medicine”
Said a million times,
Just masking the pain,
That I’m feeling inside.
Can you teach me how to laugh,
To forget the pain I feel?
Forget the sadness crushing me,
A smile true and real.
