Peace comes from acceptance
With no anticipation
There’s no disappointment
It is what it is
No more, no less
No more “wants”
No needs
No future
No pain
Living a life filled with tears
Filled with less
The void I thought was empty
Was filled– with pain, with yearning
With sorrow, with longing
Life was never lived
Now... Now it’s too late
Too late to live a life of experience
A life of youthful abandon
Of friends and adventures
Of romance, of heartache, of love
Anything now will be a brief consolation before the inevitable
Physical, age, restrictions, pain, energy (gone)
Nothing shared
