Eyes
Smiles are deceiving, but eyes are not.
Look them in the eye and you can learn a lot.
From fear to love, or grief and pain; the life you know may never be the same.
A face is a cover up one may use.
To hide what is inside so others cant abuse.
The show we put on, is just that– a show.
So others don’t see what our heart really knows.
Whenever ones heart shows on their face.
In faith they have trusted and held on to grace.
Their walls have crumpled, they are left with trust.
They let people in, only cause they must.
Soon their courage will build up again.
Their walls will come up and set there within.
To protect their hearts there are smiles on their faces.
But their eyes will show without any traces...
