The Hill

The Hill
By: Austin Rand

The Sheep who stand up on the hill
The Sheep who do not know
The sheep who never see the barren wasteland
Down below

Inside their fence the grass is green
And everything is right
All the sheep are perfect here
A flawless shade
Of white

The sheep below are starving and their bones are stripped of meat
As the sheep above ignore the grass thats growing
At their feet

What do you think they should do?
Do they have some grass to spare?
Do they think about this?
Do they know the other sheep are
There?

We may never know the answer...
But it seems to make some sense
Should there be no fertile grazing ground?
Or maybe just
No fence.
