How to be successful
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls
Whoever has taken the time to read this, we have a problem
Insecurity has set in and new goal needs to be found
Basically when people have issues, I’m the man to solve em
Everyone needs motivation in their life
It’s the driving force in order to succeed
Having inspiration will propel you to do great things
And keep you away from distractions like weed
The first step in being successful
Is following your passion and chasing your dream
Whether it be to start your own business
Or to be apart of the Patriots football team
When you chase after your passion
You’ll have fun in life and money isn’t the sole reason
When you get a job strictly cause of the money
You’ll end up changing careers as often as the seasons
The second step to become successful
Is to establish your “Why”
This is the most important step
It makes all the practice and hard-work fly by
Everything that you do is for a reason
The same applies to your goals and dreams
Whether it be to put your mom is a nicer house
Or to own your very own baseball team
Your why is your underlying motivation
When times seem unbearable it’s gonna get you through
That spark of hope in the grimmest situations
Your blood begins to pump a little faster and you’re gonna think your heart grew
Doing anything you possibly can to make your goals a reality
Your why is why you’ll never have to ask why again
Failure will no longer be an option
All you can do is win
The last step you need to master is very important
It’s all about avoiding apathy and turning your thoughts into action
So many people say they’re gonna do this and gonna do that
But instead of actually doing it they let the opportunities slip pass them
Don’t just talk about it, be about it
Be a man of your word
Why do you think Nike’s slogan is “Just do it”
It’s an ACTION verb
Take that leap of faith
Strive to make your passion a reality
Volunteering for foundations to help put kids through college
Or work to help eliminate police brutality
Whatever it is that has captured your heart
And has seeped into that beautiful mind
Point your focus towards that goal
Do it well and do it right, it’s gonna be well worth the time
You have already taken the first step to start moving forward
God is allowing you to read this poem because it’s in his master plan
Things in the past may haven’t worked out
And why? We may never understand
Now you’re back on the right track
You can go ahead and mark “Motivation” off your check list
Go ahead and open your opportunity door
