Seeded Hope

Old ways are fading
respectfully, discretely,
into history’s bowels,
until finally excreted
as fertilizer’s gift
to seeds of inspiration,
nourishment for those
who intuit a newer way.

Laser-like, the tree of life
grows on, into the dawn
of  a beckoning future,
instantly transforming
attitudes of doom and gloom
into rainbows of possibility.

As cynics pine, fruits of hope
emerge, and feed the souls
of nature’s children who
dream its awe and mystery
