A Pirater’s Boast

One day as I walked to the sea of green
I thought of a very mischievous scheme:
To hijack the wave-traveler I viewed a-float
Therefore I dove in and swam for that boat.
I kicked, I paddled my way through the sand-bashers
My energy was thriving; I swam even faster.

Like a dolphin on pursuit of a school of fish
I sprang out of the surf with a powerful swish.
The denizens of the ocean lay dormant below
Never aware of the path on which I go.
Bounding faster than a cheetah, arms stretched outward
At a palpable pace I pushed further forward.

I leaped out of the water with incredible strength.
Quiet as a mouse I climbed up the side length.
It was impeccable that I avoid being caged.
Invading the deck my adrenaline raged.
With a quick draw the crew heard my sword sing.
I approached the captain with a pernicious swing.

After fighting off two hundred men,
I bowed my head and said, “Amen”.
Searching for a celebratory drink,
I found no bottle and cup to clink.
Though I wondered, “Why is the rum always gone?”
With my newly acquired ship I sailed on.
