What is the point of consciousness?

Consciousness enables volitional movement,

liberating the will through purpose

What is language for?

Language infuses purposeful action with significance,

enlightening the will through meaning

But if

AI can use large language models

to make meaning without consciousness

Then

AI has generated a new world

of meaning without purpose,

cleaving the will to power from any point

and rendering the pointless sword

mightier than the palavering pen
