What can be done?
We said it. We probably never meant it, but it’s already in the world for others to see. Friends look at him and ask “where’s your darling?” All the effort he put into Steph and look where that got him. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it? Well, if it ain’t broke, you can’t fix it. So what the hell is up? He’s trying to figure out the laws of love, but it’s too tough. Love is beautiful in its own right, but is it right? Can I swoop you off your feet on a cold winter’s night? Can we talk for hours and hours because both our ideas are bright? Or is this just another trap that I’ve aimlessly ran into?
