Daddy
Since you went away,
2013 2nd May.
We have been through so much,
life has slowed down we no longer rush.
We think about you every single day,
each of us in our own special way.
The kids and I have been to hell and back,
bright skies sometimes seem so black.
I write to you now to let you know,
as a family we have had to grow.
Daddy will always be in our heart,
but we have had to make a brand new start.
I don’t know if my decisions are right,
and sometimes still cry at night.
Day to day we face together,
all of us changed forever.
I hope poems get to heaven,
and you have found Grandad and Nanny Pleavin.
Goodbye for now is all we can say,
wish you were here, wish you could of stayed.
