Quite a sight to behold:
a woman of sun, reclining
on the grass, in a meadow,
abundantly recumbent,
hair and limbs lush with heat
and light. And a man,
also outstretched
ina deep-blue sea of sky overhead;
made wholly of cloud, arch
to temple; a noonday nimbus
of happiness or desire.
He floats, without a shadow,
before his woman of sun,
and she warms the earth
and air around her man
of cloud.
