Day of the Earth
on Earth Day
Good to mark it
each year
on the world’s calendar.
But I celebrate it
every day.
From waking
till sleeping.
Celebrate and
pollinate it
with word
and breath,
opening heart and
greening thought.
The Earth,
the remarkable
sometimes
breathtaking
beauty,
and bounty
of This Earth
we belong to,
bring ourselves to,
in all the ways,
shapes, colors
and tongues
we do.
This sphere
of wholeness
and consciousness
we’re each
a wave,
a vibrant weave
in the living fabric
of. All fellow
terrestrials,
all in vivo here;
all free to be
in a place
and state
of daily wonder.
