The Still Wet Signature
for the discovered fragment of a letter
It was a wet signature.
Full of emotion.
Full of eroticism.
Still wet,
with sweat
or tears,
or a mixture
of the two.
A love letter,
written just after
lovemaking.
Or a farewell,
off the cliff
of a heartbreaking.
Hard to say,
since only the torn
bottom of the page
with the still
wet signature
remains.
The rest
gone now
like the vanished
lovers.
