The Best of Me
I AM what I AM
Look at me in simple ways
Defined me with struggles without dismay
Do not curse me with weakness you see
Because you have not walk the path of trials of being me.
At early age, I have been working to cope my school needs
Working students isn’t easy to heed
My mother is ill with complicated sickness
My father is a baker, with lots of enthusiasm to give his best
I have learned the hardship of life to cope
Enduring the poverty of life, I embraced the courage of hope
That one day, God will give me the beauty of my dreams
To have a life with light of success
Even how tough of life to carry on
You’ll see me with the sweetest smile worn
For my smile is a weapon of courage
To succumb all the pain and trials of any play of life stage
My children are my inspiration
To continue my life’s dreams and aspiration
That the path I walk will shades beauty, like rainbow hues
Enjoying the essence of life with a sweet smile
No more silent moaned of cries
Look at me simply with my smile
Even how long and far I journey in a mile
For nothing I can offer you but a good heart
With an honest care and thoughts... I live my life as what I am
