(Melodic Melancholy)
My Mother the Moon

Oh Halcyon Epoch
That we should partake
Whilst mended world sleeps
Is lost by her
As she sits on high
Perched upon the passing day
Surrounded by light
Yet desolate
And devoid of life
In her bleak refrain she sings
A song so sad you’d cry
A song so sad you’d cry
She sings
Backed by the rising and waning tides
To those who have passed or drifted by
She knows no happiness
She’s the holder of all our fears
All ebbs and flows are hers to see
So deep they course
Through Galileo’s wake
That the world won’t let her lie
She takes the curses upon herself
And leaves our lives behind
She leaves our lives behind
Shadow Singer
Singing till the days begun
The sadness of everyone
She takes the screams and the tears
The pain of all the years
And she sings until it’s done
Melodic Melancholy
The sadness of everyone
She’s the loneliest of the lonely
And she’ll sing until it’s done
She’ll sing until it’s done
She’ll sing until it’s done
Leaving our lives behind
