Melody
The Melody of a song.
That should be never sung.
But you whispered that verse.
As I saw you fall apart.
Then depart to the heavens.
Like an angel.
Singing that melody.
Your lips where never touched.
You never ran through the fields.
Blossoming, full of potential.
You will always be a seed,
Never a rose.
You will always be an egg,
Never a dove.
You will always be asleep,
But yet awake.
You live in my heart always.
I hum night and day.
The melody you should have sung.

This is my own original poem that involves around the theme of death and longing for that person to come back. It is a short poem that hints the story of a mother that has lost her child. I hope you like it and feel a little bit emotional afterwards.
