Underneath This Indiscretion

It’s a crime to not love your own body
but I break the law everyday.
When I wake up,
when I’m asleep,
when you don’t glance my way.

Everything revolves around impressions so raw.
Underneath this indiscretion I feel disguised,
surprised by the lack of contemplation,
lack of justification,
lack of you.

You were everything I saw,
inside and out you were entirely.
But tired of me you grew so far.
As I do to myself,
when I wake up,
when I’m asleep,
when you don’t glance my way.

Suffocated by the thoughts building up,
compiling inside this body,
I break the law everyday.
When I wake up,
when I’m asleep,
when you don’t glance my way.
