As Night Falls
As the night falls down,
And the stars come around,
The demons take their rest,
And children start to confess;
As the moon begins to sing,
And night lullabies start to ring,
Lovers whisper close,
and the soul settles most;
As eyelids flutter shut,
And shadows creep up to strut,
Spirits breathe in deep,
And protect all those who sleep.
