'The clocks might stop
For you and me,
Time is of the essence,
Can’t you see?'
'What’s the hurry,
Does it matter,
If I, like you,
Am getting fatter?'
‘We have only got
So long to live,
Why make it shorter
Than it is?’
'No one knows
When we’ll pass on,
It’s ten to three,
Pass me a scone.'
'Exercise is what we need
To lose some weight,
To keep us fit,
It’s not too late.'
'If I were thin
Wrinkles would appear,
Can’t you see,
Do I make myself clear?'
'Let’s not live for looks,
But Love, my dear,
The longer then
To keep us near.'
