An Age in Parody

The Vision

In the evening, in the twilight, I see visions
Of the coming of an age in parody
Then I see another vision based on sadness
But in the end, there is a song of Rhapsody.

Scarlet red finds its way into my sight
Then a blue, a navy blue, mixes in
As it does it turns to blood and forms a lake,
And the lake feeds a river born of a sin.

The Goshawk circles high in the twilight
Joined by an Eagle, who flies alone
From the west comes a clutch of fiery dragons
And a Raven, who is mostly made of stone.

The end is coming quickly to the twilight
The darkness creeps upon us as a snake
The blood and the fire bond in space
And all that was asleep becomes awake.

In the evening, in the twilight, is the vision
It is the coming of an age in parody
Then there comes that other vision full of sadness
And we all hear the endless song of Rhapsody.
