Christmas in the Snow

The whirlwind
drifts across the snow
like a dancer
Stirring up confusion as it twirls
The children chase along
in joyful glee
It’s a snow-day
for a slew of boys and girls.

The grown-ups
watch with knowing smiles
Remembering
those days long ago
When they chased
those imaginary dancers
In the wonderland
known as winter snow.

Snowmen here
Sledding there
Time just passes
Without a care
The day is done
But that’s alright
Cause Santa comes
tonight!

Hot Coco by the fire
And stories told
Of some Christmas Miracles
In those days of old.
Then bedtime sneaks upon them,
so, off the children go
to sleep and maybe dream
of chasing dancers in the snow.
