The Flea and the Farmer

Fiddle A. Dee, the hopping flea
Hopped right onto the dog.
The dog scratched here,
The dog scratched there,
Then the flea hopped on a Hog.
Well —-
The hog scratched here,
The hog scratched there,
It scratched all the way
To a cranberry bog.

The cranberry farmer
Said, “Get out, get out!”
To the wiggling,
Scratching old hog.
So it ran over here
And it ran over there,
Then it ran
Right into a log!

The farmer went there
To offer some care
And to see if the hog
Had a lump anywhere.
The farmer saw the flea
And pinched it!
You see?
Now the Flea hasn’t a care.
