Scarecrow's Dilemma

Blackbird

“Blackbird, Blackbird, what’s the word?”
“Caw, Caw,” was all he said
Then he flew upon my head.

“Blackbird, Blackbird, go away
For on my head tis no place to play.”
“Caw, Caw,” he said again,
Being so bold as to consider me friend.

“Blackbird, Blackbird, be gone with you
Or I will make of you a stew!”
“Caw, Caw,” was his scratchy shriek,
As he pecked at me with his pointy beak.

“Blackbird, Blackbird, go find a tree,
I have work to do and you’re bothering me!”
“Caw, Caw,” he said as he flew,
Leaving a gift of Blackbird Pooh.
