What’s Cook-in, Santa?

Down the chimney came the Jolly fat-man

It was obvious that the geezer had him a plan

With sack on his back, he slid down the stack

And landed on the stove, in the midst of the ham.

My wife was glazing the Porker’s back side

So when Santa hit that main course, she took it in stride.

She yelled out some words that I’d never heard

Then she whacked him a good –one on his rose-red hide.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” Santa said in a hurry,

“Wrong chimney, my mistake, outside, there’s a flurry!

The storm is so strong I guessed chimney’s wrong

And the snow in my eyes just made things all blurry!”

We all forgave Claus when he opened his sack

After all he is Santa and we want him coming back.

And for Christmas dinner, Ham, Cheese, and Mac.

Not so great for dinner, but it’s a really great snack.
