Last Night I Missed You

Last night I missed you lying next to me. The touch of your skin against mine setting my stress free. The heat passing through, feeling it pass from me to you.

I missed you tucking your feet under me, feeling comfortable to just be. I searched the bed for you all night, looking for for that touch that makes everything alright.

I missed feeling your pulse against me, being a lullaby that puts me to sleep. I missed just simply holding onto you, or you holding onto me to.

The nights are longer when you are not there. The nights are lonely when I search for you but you are no where.

Last night I missed lying next to you. Waking up alone has me feeling so very blue. I long to wrap my arm around you smelling the nape of your neck and kiss you just under your ear, to lay there and let the day become nothing more than a blur.

Tonight I would walk miles just to sleep next to you, in the morning I would walk more miles just to have slept next to you. I would walk many miles to avoid waking up this blue.
