Religions

Free me from the exile of the hate that you bring
Hanging by a thread from your savior’s wing
Condemnation is all that I sense
Build up your walls, but I’ve got a quaint picket fence
Religions of glory you tear another page from the story
I’ve followed the wise words of your Lord gone before
But I wound up hollow and broken, not to mention bitter and sore
Beaten to shame by commandments you gave
Ten nails in my coffin, oh yeah one more foot in the grave
Life is like cancer while every breath is a scar
That place you call “heaven” seems so damn far
Don’t weep for the dead ones or pray for the heathens
I pity the absence of you fools only breathing
Damned to mortality, condemned with a soul
Your redemption is earned through an existence annulled
To refrain from desires is to hide from the world
The lies of one’s truth in all directions are hurled
So grab hold of your Bible and incense with myrrh
So your God will redeem you  a damn good riddance I’m sure!
