Happy New Year
Twelve minutes passed in the new year,
Dance the night away,
In hopes of a brighter day,
Last years passing,
Seemed a bit everlasting,
With knowledge taken,
Knowledge learned,
Still a bit shaken,
Still a bit burned,
Trying to maintain,
A bit withered in pain,
With every evolution,
Comes a new solution,
Seventeen minutes passed,
So has the raising of the midnight glass,
What is the nights dream,
On this new years scheme,
Maybe this time it’ll be different,
Maybe this time it won’t hurt so bad,
Playing with fire,
The same flame,
The same desire,
Only myself to blame,
It’s a natural choice,
When yours is the only voice... you hear
