Caricamento in corso...

We Common Folk Must Decide

Let’s look at him from his point of view,
living as he does in a penthouse
on top of a building bearing his name,
riding an elevator down a few floors
to an office where he oversees
businesses run by his children.

When he goes out, a chauffeur drives.
He never has to weave in and out
among common folk like you and me
driving cars to work or driving
trucks because that’s our job.

He employs common folk not because
he likes us but because he needs us
to add billions to the billions he already has.
For some, enough is never enough.
For months he’s talked about

making America great again.
After November he may talk about it
four more years unless we common folk
say “Enough already!” and send him home.
We common folk must decide, not him.
