It's Like
It’s like I’m standing still just watching the world go past and my sands of time have turned into powder in my hour glass. Not flowing freely and a lot slower than most in need of some motivation so I can achieve my goals.
It’s like I have more downs than ups but I can’t roll up my fears in blunts or drown my sorrows in cups. My life’s a test and I’m studying hard trying to find the answer where’s my index cards?
It’s like I’m trying to learn but I’m the example and failure’s my teacher so can you learn from me? I’m stuck in the darkest night on the prettiest day with the sun shining and still can’t find my way.
It’s like the obstacles I see hide the ones that I can’t so I’m leaping and falling deeper but I want to ascend. I know they say life is hard but this can’t be what they meant.
