The wind found his door
Chilled by tales the village told
It stirred what he knew
The way they praised, then controlled
Kept him down till he’s grown old
He walked past their fears
His friends; dreading the blue sky
They stayed close to land,
Afraid to wander or roam
Their hearts clung to what they’d known
The trees sang his name
Deep in paths the others feared
He pressed on alone,
Beyond the bounds they had drawn,
Where day meets the ghost of dawn
Now no one looks back
Their tales forget what he sought
But winds know the trail
His voice rides the forest air
A hush only dreamers hear
