Red and Gold

I look at the green leaves filled with envy
For when they die they turn to red and gold
And fill our world with marvelous beauty
Brightening forests before winter cold
Autumn leaves in psychedelic frenzy
Spectacular breathtaking to behold
Flamboyant carpet inviting friendly
Welcoming us to blessings thousandfold
At the closing of my earthly journey
I wish to be fallen leaves red and gold
Bringing joy happiness to all who’d see
As I await my fate still to be told!
