Texas Freeze

Nobody in Texas owns a snow shovel.
Locals kept on shooting at the snow!
~Anonymous

The weather dreadful
To sleet, snow turns rapidly
Numbing and chilly

Utter darkness cloaks the land
There blows the harsh frigid wind

The mercury fell
To points it has never been
Depths before unseen

Soon all the pipes are frozen
In several parts broken

The deluge began
Water oozed like an ocean
In sluggish motion

Thus, all our possessions drenched
Horrified we watched teeth clenched
