“I’m Going On A Whale Watch”
I’m going on a whale watch
Must hold onto the rails
I going to pay a high price
To view some jumping whales
No leviathans do I see
A long time in this search
It’s windy and it’s cold
Upon this swaying perch
Captain yells, “twelve o’clock”
I’m looking just that way
No big deal, it’s not much
It’s just a mist of spray
There’s a titan swimming closer
I hope to see a show
When a titan exhales
It is called his “blow”
When a whale jumps out of water
I learned it’s called a “breach”
The skipper has the knowledge
About the sea he loves to teach
I hope this titan spins and jumps
Like in pictures that I’ve seen
Giving this whale a chance
Showing off how wide its beam
He only flapped and splashed
Was his way to say" good bye"
To the deep blue sea he went
Never breaching to the sky
Captain says,"We have to go"
Our time is getting short
Then another whale appears
Off the side that’s known as port
Twenty eight jumps he did share
This whale really liked to play
Don’t care about the hefty price
He made my “Whale Watch” day
