Kona Coffee Picking Time
I live where there’s sunny mornings
Clouds, wind and rain in the afternoon
Balmy romantic starry nights
Preparing us for the harvest moon
When Kona Coffee blooms
Often called Kona Snow
In beautiful Captain Cook
Coffee trees will sure grow
Soon the bright red berry appears
It’s often called the cherry
Each precious bean is picked by hand
Fill heavy bags, you get so weary
Next pulped and fermented
Then gently rinsed and well dried
Must be a perfect level
Special flavor likes to hide
Two types of cherry are found
One a single peaberry bean
Other two beans flat and round
On its way to fine cuisine
Kona Roast or Kona Blend
Pick Select or Kona Prime
Fancy and Extra Fancy
Many flavors so sublime
Just by happenstance or planned
All started from this fertile ground
So much better shared together
Over Kona coffee love was found
