Follow the Ruler
Life brings many rules upon us
but God gives us the golden rule
most folk reject His advice
to do so makes one a fool
Jesus said on His sermon on the mount
'whatever you wish others would do to you
do this also to them’
but it’s no easy thing to do
Our selfish nature seeks to please self
that’s it’s natural bias and bent
so we need supernatural help
for this the holy spirit has been sent
God’s spirit comes and indwells us
when we are spiritually born anew
changing us in the inner man
gradually our heart to be godly true
So now we seek to follow
the God who rules to reign
being guided and led by His spirit
to receive blessing and godly acclaim
For to give God His glory
seek to do others good
wishing them your best
doing all you could
