A Pair of Centaurs

A pair of centaurs from a far away dream
Entered my room through the door
“We’re not mythological, not what we seem”,
Said one of them, seconds before
I ventured to talk to them why do they came
To what do I owe such a pleasure
Another one spoke to me, “you are so tame
A man of good fortune and leisure
We couldn’t miss the chance of supporting you, sir
You are on a right way”, he said
Another one added, “we wouldn’t occur
If you weren’t long time been dead”
“What do you mean by this” said I, but no
It was a deep hush all around
I realized that I can’t talk no more
Voice didn’t produce any sound
Meanwhile my guests set a table and laughed
They ate all my food, drank my wine
One of them smoked, and another one puffed
They probably thought it was fine
Blankly I watched them eclipsing away
And rather soon I could not see
A pair of centaurs in the dawn of the day
That dimly surrounded me
Then Morpheus got me and down on the shore
Out of the train window I saw
My only true home that I left long ago
Still cannot remember, what for.
