Exact indifference

Intrepidly you turn away, never once relenting. Your frigid stare and pursed lips do prove. Indignant to any forthright effort to love. Indifference, your soul no longer moved.

On evasive wings you soar, untouchable, constant flight. Through the sun drenched days or the shroud of night, no more.  Your thoughts of me as desolate as a blade of grass, severed from its other half. Tomorrow’s are days I abhor.

Splintered and fractured, traces of hope far removed. A desolate time, hearts disprove as you walk away. Decimated and exhausted through the absence, loneliness now envelopes what used to be dreams. Today’s tragic emptiness, with nothing more to display.

(2012)

Much of what I have written is with a heavy heart from relationship woes or endings.
