Lost in hate
Self loathing
Prisoner of my mind
Locked behind my emotions
Hidden underneath my tears
Caught up in the lumps in my throat
Flowing through my running make up
Streaming & trailing
Down a sad & lonely face
In between my ears
Who only seem to pay attention
To the bad it hears
Heart beating, mouth breathing
—but I’m far from living.
