Fighting the Elements

Mist eerily encircled the mountain top,
enclosing its prey in thick, white fog.
Wind whistled through the trees
tearing at its preys soft, white coat.
Lightening flashed across the sky
bombarding the tiny animal with fear.
Rain pelted from the clouds
flooding the white rabbit with cold and terror.

(2013)

I wrote this in Ireland passing Snowden (or cornwall??)
I like writing a lot of descriptive poems and also ones about animals, weather and prey
