Click, clack, click, clack
Lonely click-clack of an old clock
Above the column of this room,
Recessed to the wall as if entombed.
I took the key to wind the clock
Steadily stood on stool block.
Awaited for clock to strike twelve noon
Mesmerized by chimes in Irish tunes.
In every click-clack, a beat of time flies...
Lulls the babes with nursery rhymes...
Lift spirits of wayward souls... so, I
Embrace each moment of today...
Reflect on memories of yesterday.
