A Sacred Site,
to my mind,
is the last place you’ll ever stand.
Such a place
reveals hypocrisy without shaming,
steals back illusion,
not demandingly
but unequivocally,
leaves you
to absorb honesty.
If you came upon an invisible circle
you would see the ancient ones
in congruity with your dreams
like a playful conspiracy.
It is a portal without a gate,
a dance which began beyond sight,
a temple which rends from you
what you thought was solid—
There the voice of the formless
speaks louder and louder until
it can be heard no more.
