Plato
Once there was a god
who stayed loyal to his wife
He was cast to rule a dark and lonely pod
because he didn’t cause scandals and strife.
Once there was a planet
who was an outcast and rather blue.
He tended to gravitate to the words of other granite,
so the clique cast him out and into the darkness he flew.
Once there was a philosopher
who didn’t sleep with his students
to repay his wisdom when they debated and concur–
he became laughing stock because they figured him imprudent
To be platonic is to be cast in a ditch
Because Pluto and Plato didn’t get any
